Victoria Sealing Company Limited (1898 - 1925)

Administrative history

Joint stock company established in 1898 out of the Victoria Shipping Owners and Masters Sealers Association that had been formed in 1889. Sealing schooner owners contributed their vessels to the company. Its first shareholders were William Grant, Thomas Earle, John G. Cox, William Munsie, Richard Hall, A.J. Bechtel, and R. Seabrook. It was disbanded in 1925.
