Starting in the mid-1800's, the BC Coast Pilots Association are under the BC Pilotage Act, and tasked with guiding any foreign ships in and out of the provinces ports, adhering to their mandate of safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship. They are found patrolling all regions of BC's coast.

Fonds consists of a photograph of SS Princess Louise in a green/grey metal frame with a thermometer and the words "Princess Louise Alaska". Item is a souvenir from a cruise to Alaska. Also contains list of pilots in Vancouver and Victoria for the BC Coast Pilots Association.
