Biographical history

Custodial history

Mr. Williams' narrative was written to provide his three daughters and their children with a record of both his career in steam boating and of the earlier years' conditions. The transcription was undertaken by the Assistant Curator of the Maritime Museum of British Columbia, Ronald R. Godden, in July 1979 to provide the museum with a reference record of steam boating in British Columbia by first-person recollections. The narrative was transcribed verbatim in the main, with deletion of references to family matters not related to the main theme and editorial amendment of spelling.
