History

2,293 tons gross. Built as steel freighter Surinam, and converted to the log barge Island Cypress in 1954. In 1956, she was acquired by Island Tug and Barge Company of Victoria. She sank in the Pacific in 1963 after breaking in half while under tow by Sudbury II.
